Goodbye's and on our way
It's 4am, and I'm groggilly typing this post on the porch of the church, my laptop perched on two bags as everyone loads the vans & truck to head to Entebbe. We had a grand farewell last night. Peace Portal Community Church showed up in force. Like our welcome, we built a big fire, sang songs, and danced to the firelight.
Then it was time to say goodbye.
It's been an amazing journey, one which I've only scratched the surface. I have more pics from the past week to post, as well as adventures to come in Kenya - but those will have to wait. Internet access from here to Heathrow is sketchy. At this point this may be the last you hear for a few days, though there may be a few surprises.
I've gotta hop in a van or risk getting left behind... I'll post this from the road.

may the Lord direct your paths and lead you as you all begin to process the beautiful gift you have been given...and may He give you grace for all those of us back home who wish we could understand everything you have seen and felt and experienced.
and of course, stay away from the hippo's - they look friendly enough but thats just to lure you in....you're better off swimming with the croc's or gators or whatever they have there...i can never remember!! looking forward to seeing you all on your return - and don't be afraid to take a shower!!!
lots of love, in Jesus

Hello,
I didn't get much of a chance to keep up with the majority of this blog because of the camping trip I took to tofino (which was awesome) but I just wanted to say that it has been really amazing to be able to visit this blog and hear about all the incredible things you guys had done over there in Uganda! I've been praying for the team, and it's really cool to be able to hear about (and see photos) of all the amazing things that God has been doing through you guys! Can't wait to see you all, and to Anna, Brent, Stephen and Pia - I've really missed you guys. I can't wait to hear about all the things you've seen, done, and all the people you've met.
Love,
Gavin
